It’s all about the SUN (?)

Walking around in Birmingham on 23rd of May made me realise how important is the SUN in contributing to open spaces success and to our lives. I was happy and could feel others happiness. Esplanades, lawns, water features and trees shades, sleeping, sunbathing, reading, eating, drinking, talking… or just being there… in the SUN!

A few would say that it’s all about the place but maybe it’s all about the SUN. … What do you think?

Fortunately, I had my camera and was able to shoot a few of those moments.

The RAIN

Yesterday, I met up with someone at the Botanical Gardens. We met for the first time and the topics of the conversation were very broad. Of course we’ve talked a lot about my research and gardens. And also we talk about the weather. She was saying British always talk about the weather.

Although it wasn’t raining when we arrived at the gardens, sooner after it started falling a bit heavily. And so we start talking about the rain. Do we like it, do we don´t like it. What does it or doesn´t allow us to do?

We were at the Tea room and with all that rain we surely didn´t want to go outside as we were wishing to do before.

We talked how important is the rain. Very important … It gives us food and the lush gardens we enjoy a lot when it’s sunny.

How does the weather affect your feelings of well-being? How does it affect your mood? Share your experience with me!
